Hosted PBX

Proficient Telecom's Premier Voice service is an example of a next-generation class of telephony services known as Hosted PBX.

Hosted PBX is a provider hosted application that offers a broader range of voice and calling features than traditional customer-premised-based hardware PBXs or traditional telephone company business line or Centrex services.

Hosted PBX provides a comprehensive set of features and management control without the upfront and ongoing support costs of a premise-based key system or PBX, or the hassles that come with Centrex service when you have to call the telephone company to make simple changes, adds and deletes.

Unlike legacy PBXs, where features are limited to on-premise users, Hosted PBX features are supported across multiple sites. This capability allows users to forward voice mails or transfer calls anywhere in the organization using extension dialing, even if the locations are hundreds of miles apart. Included voice messaging enables a single voice message to reach all users across multiple locations.

Whereas PBXs require expensive PRI access, Hosted PBX is delivered via IP and can be bundled with internet connectivity for even greater cost-efficiency.
